World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items can be used to increase the stats of an item. Depending on the upgrade type, it may increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity and boost additional stats.

Upgrading equipment in The War Within requires a set number of Flightstones and Crests, and each item comes with an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a specific amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's stats base increases when it is upgraded. The value is the sum of all the upgraded perks (attack magic attack, attack defense). Upgrades can be expensive, depending on who you hire and what you do. This is due to how many perks need to be replaced to allow the item to be upgraded.

The level of an item is a popular measure of power, and can be seen on all item tooltips. It also serves to limit the amount of PvP gear players are able to wear as PvP is restricted at lower levels. The average level of an item can be found in the character sheet.

When deciding whether to purchase or sell gear players can evaluate the level of an item. It's a good indicator of the quality of an item and the amount of damage it's able to deal. Comparing items in the inventory of a vendor is possible using the item level.

On PC, you can view the item level by pressing ALT or using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will show the item's full description, including the ilvl. It can also be located by hovering over an item using the mouse cursor and entering /itemlevel into chat.

There are many theories about how the level of an item level upgrade is determined. One theory suggests that the level of an item is determined by a formula that calculates the value of the stats of an item really are. It takes into consideration that different advantages are valued differently and that gems in the sockets increase the item's value. This process could result in a calculated value for the item's ilvl which is usually close to Blizzard's real item level.

It's not the only factor that affects the value of an item. The degree of the area in which the item was dropped may change its stats. For instance it can add a level to the item upgrader mod (visit this site)'s haste or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more the ilvl than items from lower level instances.

Item Stats

The stats of an item are a major element in what determines the value of an item for players. The game uses a variety of them in various ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and prevent one weapon from being "the best." The base stats of a weapon are increased by the weapon's stat modifications, which are themselves enhanced by the player's level.

Upgrades to an item can increase the stats of an item. The costs for upgrades are determined by the rarity of the item. For example, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas an item with the rare levels will be upgraded multiple times at higher prices.

Affixes are another way to alter the stats of an item. They are stat boosts that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes can be used to give items extra damage, special capabilities (such as revitalizing dead or reducing cooling downs), or to make them unique by putting a name on them.

All affixes can be currently re-rolled by selecting them in the upgrade menu and pressing the green button. This process will cost the player a specific amount of gold as well as items that can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same way as the other rerolling options.

Players can upgrade an item with a specific stat, or reroll attaches. The possible ranges of stats for an item are determined by the level of the item, however every item is guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within that range, unless it's a unique item or the result of a God roll from a boss of a raid.

This is another aspect that could be altered by introducing an option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes or choosing which stats to boost. But as with base equipment, this would have to be done on a per-item basis, and the interface for item comparison will not show all the stats that could be that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player stacks up to increase the chances of finding items as well as the properties that appear on loot drops, and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or ability to upgrade items. It gives the player an opportunity to get better equipment earlier in the game. This is especially beneficial in early game runs because players tend to put the scaling of weapons and defenses over raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chance of being successful when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability that increases with each item level and can be further enhanced by using an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons come with the default Luck value of 40. These items can then be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the type of material used) to grant an additional +40 Luck, or to increase the Luck of the item up to 140.

Furthermore some items, such as the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow can be used to boost the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5%. These items can be found in the shop or created with the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Upgrades to items are costly and not every upgrade will be successful. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to boost their chance of success or stop themselves from losing an item in the event that the upgrade fails.

When you upgrade an item, the rate of success is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the likelihood of successfully upgrading the item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special materials. The chance of success can only be increased by so much, and the chance that the upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%..

The luck of an item may affect the effectiveness of an upgrade. Each item has an average success rate of 25 percent and each item that has Luck increases the chance of success by 5percent.

The item upgrade overlays are rendered above the items in the inventory. This can block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
