Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons. They provide an extra bonus or effect while the equipment in use. They can be bought from players or vendors, looted or obtained as rewards, or made using crafting materials. Upgrade items can be cosmetic effects in addition to providing attribute bonuses.

Upgrade components include inscriptions enhancements and infusions. They aren't generally available for general use, and are only available to ascending equipment or certain non-ascended weapons from the Factions campaign. You can retrieve infusions or inscriptions, as well as enrichments from your equipment using an Extractor Device or by salvaging using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage tool.

Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items are able to be exchanged and reused while still attached to the item they are upgrading. These upgrade items can be used to increase weapon and armor quality without the expense of Dilithium. They can double the chance that the item will receive a quality upgrade.

An upgrade component placed in an item may be replaced by another, but doing so destroys the original (except for upgrades of legendaries and equipment that has been ascended). Upgrade components can only be added to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or greater. If you upgrade the weapon already equipped with a suffix or prefix upgrade the item will be referred to as it would appear on the game screen (for example adding a Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor makes it Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player can only have up to three upgrade items at once.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be a great addition to any product. They offer unique advantages and boosts. Some Glyphs increase the number of affixes an item has, increasing its power. These glyphs are available through the dungeons and some be found in certain World Tier 3 areas. It is important to keep in mind that glyphs are only available to characters who have created a dungeon that has the same depth.

To make use of a Glyph you first have to create it with components and then connect them using anchors. The component will then automatically align to other components or paths in the same layer. If you don't want to create the glyph using components, you can build it by combining paths and anchors. Drag an element in the direction of a component highlighted to snap it into its place.

Certain glyphs require certain conditions to satisfy, like having 25 Dexterity or more in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs require a particular number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which can be a bit difficult to achieve. Some glyphs have a radius that increases as you move up.

Glyphs are available for various items and can be added to all weapons except for weapons of a particular class. Some of these glyphs have conditional requirements for example, like having a certain amount of damage from Dexterity or Attack in a specific location on the Paragon board.

The Defend Glyph adds an 5% chance to block enemy attacks. It also has a chance of 15% to make the Hero vulnerable for two turns.

Some glyphs may also be applied to restricted use tools, like the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. The addition of these glyphs will count towards the Combat Mechanic achievement.

The most commonly used glyphs in the game are the attack glyphs, which increase Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed value. They are especially useful for ranged classes like Warriors and Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph, which makes enemies who hit the Hero vulnerable to being damaged.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are special tokens that are used to roll back one of the results that are rolled when taking an Action. They are destroyed after the reroll has occurred. Reroll tokens can be gained in several ways, including through raids, dungeons, and skirmishes. You can also buy them in the store, or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons and trials since they allow players to play a reroll of rewards of the final chest.

For items that are at level 1 there are recycling points. The upgrade gauge will increase by a certain amount of points each time you recycle an item. This value scales according to the item's level and rarity. The upgraded item upgrades also will not retain its level if it is rerolled, and the cost to recycle an upgraded item rises when its level increases.

The player can also make use of reroll tokens to reroll an item. However it won't restore the item upgrade's original stats, or level. This is a great option for those who want to reroll an item or piece of equipment that they don't love but want to keep in their collection.

Three kinds of upgrade coins are available in the game: Reroll, randomly generated and upgrade. Each type has a few subtypes. Reroll tokens for instance are available in three types: rare, legendary, and enhanced. Each requires an item upgrader mod (Read Full Report) of the appropriate level to create an item upgrading of the same quality.

To use reroll tokens, right-click on the Satanic or Angelic item in inventory and select "Reroll Token". Select the type of token you want to use. The available tokens include Item, Weapon, Misc, 1hgun, 2hgun and Focus. The Item token can be used to create a brand new Item in any quality. A Weapon or Misc token will create a brand new weapon of the same faction.

The item could also be upgraded to a different item that has similar stats, but at a higher level. This will happen if the item has been placed in the Pool that is not droppable or if it was transferred to it as part of the franchise card.
