WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you an increase in specific statistics. Each upgrade item increases the level of an item by +3. A random substat is also added to every upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item, however they'll always be cheaper than purchasing new gear. For example upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once a piece of gear reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This is to allow players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another significant change is that crests only have one use, so it's important to use them properly.
