Are You Getting The Most Value You Item Upgrade

From WikiHikmah

WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapons. However, the item level upgrade (visit the following internet page) that is used to upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your gear. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item, however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new equipment. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners in a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor with an button, which will display an image of the item at its next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The upgrade items cost depends on the item slot and current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases with the number of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. Instead the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades require a variety of means which is both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3 the upgrade system was tweaked a bit, with several new features added. When a player has an upgrade to a certain level for an item level upgrade in an armor slot, upgrading other items to that level will cost less even if they are part of another set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade is reduced and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievements.

Crests

Players have several options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be used to purchase gear of a specific rank, and each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, depending on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by working through content at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities or completing dungeons and raids in any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons that have a high difficulty for endgame gear. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

The new currency system isn't difficult to use, but it brings some changes to the upgrade process. For example, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests only have one purpose, so it's important to use them wisely. It's best to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the best gear you can find and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The account-wide discount is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
