9 Signs You re The Item Upgrade Expert
WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.
The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item upgrades used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and can't be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.
The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are functional items that can be used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. They are purchased by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for various currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon or armor. The button will show the preview of an item upgrading's next upgrade level if there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and current item level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.
Many locations have upgraders for their items in addition to the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and the possibility of obtaining a new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases depending on the amount of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.
In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no upgrader for items available at the start of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades require a variety of means, which is both an improvement and a drawback.
In Season 3, a number of new features have been added to the upgrade system. After a player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This is true regardless of whether the items are from an entirely different set of gear.
The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade is reduced and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced as well, but is only available when certain milestones are reached.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW players have a couple of options. Flightstones are an Item Level Upgrade (Www.Google.Co.Zm) that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
First, you should know that the crests can only be purchased for equipment of a certain rank. Each rank comes with a different upgrade path. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade can require up to 20 crests, contingent on the type or equipment being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through completing content of the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of any difficulty for higher-tier items or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons to obtain endgame gear. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.
The use of these currencies isn't that difficult however, the system introduces some changes to the overall upgrade process. Once a piece of gear has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it no longer requires Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade item their equipment to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also essential to use crests wisely, as they only have one use. For instance it's a good idea use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrader gear you have available and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan on making. This is especially true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount on the account will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
