9 Signs You re A Item Upgrading Expert
World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The item upgrades upgrade lets players increase the gear rating of an item by up to 700 points and add a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you decide to take them to the Kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their distinctive stats. (For example an excellently broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons don't really change after an upgrade, and aren't worth the cost.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can boost their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. A lot of weapons also have an unaffected bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a group. In some cases this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage that a weapon can sustain on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity and level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. This is generally a positive thing, but it can also have negative effects. For items that are only used in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them can render them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.
The ability to upgrade armor items to boost their stats. This will increase the defense base of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These will boost their required strength and agility. Armor also has an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it can sometimes reroll to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain when upgrading, along with the relative values of those stats. This means that an upgrade from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button within the item menu using the arrows that circle. This will reroll an item upgrader kit and alter its stats, but not reset the weapon's levels, or bind it to account status.
Armor
A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference to your survival. Certain sets can offer massive increases in resistance to poison, curses, fire, and magic. This makes it easier to traverse difficult areas. The more defense your character has, the more value you will get from each point of health and it's crucial to upgrade your armor as much as possible.
To upgrade your armor, go to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game and in order to unlock each fountain, you have to complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. After you've completed your main quest and the corresponding fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade item menu.
The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. In general, you're looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, as an example can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which allows you to stay ahead in frigid environments with a large group of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded to +20 defense to ensure you're able to survive a battle with friends.
Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll have to concentrate on upgrading it for physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you use for the final boss battle, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
You can also gain benefits to your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to beat the game. For instance, the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have some upgrades for the helmets and chest armor so that you can sneak around some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, provide an immediate effect. There are five types of potions, each having particular effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, increasing their level of effect. In addition the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust them.
Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. This can be earned by making them on a crafting table or in the Alchemist's chest. However, the upgrade price is dependent on the type of potion you want to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and rarity.
To upgrade a potion, right-click it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI which allows you to choose the potion that you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they will provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.
Once a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade unless you use it again or break the bottle within which it is stored. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
There were a few updates to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for example have now a duration of that is 0:08 instead of 22.5 seconds displayed on the item hover display. The potion table can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. Similarly, using a potion on a full cauldron drains the potion and refills the bottle.
There are also simmering potions made using splash and dragon breath potions. Similarly, a lingering potions effect can be extended by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients is now arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping and the decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small, inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It can be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a function but is not particularly significant, such as a trinket. In certain cultures, a trinket is a way to express friendship or affection between family members.
Players can upgrade trinkets in addition to weapons or armor, as well as potions. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets are able to be traded out at any time without losing their stats.
Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with tokens, gold, or fragments from a rare trinket.
Upgrading a trinket is a cost-effective alternative to purchasing new ones. One can upgrade a trinket for just 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same level of base as the previous trinket but it also comes with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they're no longer needed which allows a player to boost their power and value over time. They can be traded between players and are a viable alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This usually refers to the most valuable-in-slot items for their class, then their secondary items and finally, other gear items that will not be replaced soon (for instance, a ring or cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when selecting which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to tank players and they want to upgrade their helm, chest and shoulders.
Once they have become useless trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket has an additional bonus of 1. Re-upgrading will destroy the trinket unless it can be salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than purchasing a new one.
