5 Must-Know Item Upgrade Practices For 2024

From WikiHikmah

Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades

Upgrades to gear increase its base stats, and sometimes enhances its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements, and the number of random augmentations are made available.

For example, the elite racial shield Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb capability in PvP, or to add additional defenses on missile based designs in PvM. This makes it more marketable over the original version that is not upgraded.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens permit you to reroll a purchased item upgrader, like a weapon, armor or ring. The item is replaced with an identical item upgrader mod however with different benefits. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective option to upgrade equipment. However, they don't keep the same level as the original item and any resources that are wasted will not be refunded.

Survivors may acquire reroll tokens by a variety of means, including from the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in chests and crates or purchase them from the stores for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of an item that could include increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.

Players can roll equipment with three categories: physical power, spell power, and health. Upgrades to physical power boost the damage of melee and weapons attack, while upgrades to spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades give players additional health.

Three types of rerolls tokens are available: upgrade rare, legendary and rare. Each of these upgrades an item to a higher quality, with the requirement of a higher-quality reroll token order to produce it. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item, rare upgrades require a special or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

The reroll marker, unlike other markers or tokens that are placed on action spaces remains on the space till the next Success is to be rerolled. This lets you avoid wasting upgrades.

Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each Preparation Stage, and can be opened by grabbing them with Interact. When they are opened, they display a full description and an icon for the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. The restaurant's shop can trade blueprints for a brand new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.

As a result, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a run. This alters the blueprints the restaurant's shop has available to reroll, and those that are in the Non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that boost the level of an item by increasing its stats or attributes. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the major towns. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a price. In addition, players can get these stones by signing daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment players must first locate the item upgrading and then click the "level up button". The screen will show a summary of the item's level, and what it will become after being leveled-up. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the item. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the gear will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires one Growth Stone.

After deciding on the item upgrading to upgrade the user must choose the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay for the cost. Once the player has met the requirements, they can click the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. The item will be upgraded in level by a specific percentage. Depending on the item's rarity the upgrade process can be as quick as a few seconds to minutes.

The upgrade process also is risk-free and does not impact the longevity of the item. This is a great way for players who wish to gain an advantage in combat, but don't want to burden their wallets. Additionally, players can transfer the experience and the progress of an upgraded item to new one by clicking on the "transfer" tab.

For new players, it can be difficult to acquire Growth Stones. However, there are many ways to acquire these stones, such as contract completion and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, collecting them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.

Leveling

Leveling is an option that allows you to increase the stats of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets as well as helms. It is accomplished by the combination of an item with upgrade components at the Upgrade Station and paying a fee of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade materials will be used up and the item will gain an upgrade to a higher level. The process will continue until the item reaches its maximum level.

Items with upgraded base stats will display the blue icon in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, cannot be added to more than one item at the same time. Additionally, each upgrade component will require a certain number of items to be applied, as well as a minimum amount for the equipment.

The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can place an item that they wish to upgrade. On the right, an image of the gear looks like at its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow after the player has enough materials will start the upgrading process.

A piece of equipment may be upgraded up to five times. Every time the item is upgraded, its base stats will be increased by a small amount. The maximum level of an item is 19.

Once an item reaches its maximum capacity, it will no longer have the option of upgrading. In the same way, once an item reaches a certain upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades to that track will come with a discount.

Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can slot into armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools to provide an extra effect or attribute bonus while the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so could destroy the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs that can be replaced and removed at any time.

Requirements

Item upgrades give players the ability to increase certain stats on weapons and armor they currently own. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary based on the kind of item but generally, you'll need Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).

The upgrade items can be slotted into equipment set pieces or weapons to provide additional effects or to increase the item level. These upgrades can be obtained from a variety of sources, including crafting, purchasing at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component is inserted into an item, it cannot be removed and replaced freely, however, glyphs placed in gathering tools can be swapped without limitation.

Upgrades to an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can improve the stats of the item.

The upgrade to the helm "Foundation of the Sun" for example, increases base defense and gives an additional 20 percent chance of blocking. Additionally the dps enhancement "Wildfire" increases damage to weapons.

Upgrades can be beneficial for certain items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable to players when they get the perfect roll. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50 times the value of the unupp'd version.

If you choose an upgrade component to be inserted into an item the game will show an in-game window that lists the requirements required for that item. The game will show the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.

The game will put an item in your inventory once you have met the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show how close you are towards getting the upgrade completed. You can also check on the status of an item upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
