12 Companies Leading The Way In Item Upgrades

Path of Exile Item Upgrader Mod Upgrades

Item upgrades are a common and crucial method to enhance the performance of many items in Path of Exile. They can provide extra damage, AD or even affixes.

Sometimes, however, upgraded Common and Magic gear is beaten out by Rare-grade gear because of their requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a kind of upgrade that can be applied to weapons and armor items. They increase the performance of the item they are connected to. Upgrades to armor can be found in the world of the game and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at bonfires. Alternatively, they can also be salvaged from items that have upgrade components inside them, with a professional or higher salvage kit.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it is able to take on. Upgrading a piece of armor to the highest upgrade level will increase its damage absorption. However, it's important to keep in mind that this will increase its weight, causing it to weigh more than before.

There are a variety of armor upgrade available in the game. Each one has a distinct effect. For instance, certain upgrades will give the armor a certain amount of additional health points, while others make it stronger and lighter. The name of the armor upgrade will tell you the kind of upgrade the item level upgrade can be given, as illustrated below.

A few of the upgrades are also magical or a combination of technology and magic which is identified by the "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Certain upgrades also require fees in order to be used. These are indicated as "Charges" entries in the table. The charges associated with these upgrades refresh every day or never expire, depending on the upgrade.

Iron Ore is the cheapest method to improve your armor. You can locate it by exploring and looting small chests. Titanium is more expensive, but it can be obtained from the smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Some upgrades, such as the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to higher level armor pieces. These upgrades can provide significant improvement in stats and are a worthwhile investment, especially for 1-handed weapons.

The process of upgrading an armor piece to its maximum upgrade level will greatly increase its defense capabilities but the wearer must be aware that putting more weight on it will dramatically reduce its speed and agility. It is not recommended to upgrade armor above +9. The defensive boost gained typically isn't worth the weight and power costs of the upgrades.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades allow players to enhance certain aspects of their weapon. Upgrades can boost the accuracy of a rifle, or the damage that shotgun shells cause. Certain firearms also have upgrades that improve their innate characteristics. Frictionless materials (improves stability, minimizes the possibility of overheating), and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's acceleration for greater damage) are two examples.

Most weapon upgrades require three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons and a whetblade for applying. These are obtained through either finishing side quests, killing a certain number of monsters or bosses, or from the Weapon Upgrade NPC located in Central Flarine.

To upgrade the weapon, equipment set piece, or Whetblade, you must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee of a certain number of Bars. The more bars needed to complete an upgrade, the more expensive the upgrade. The cost of upgrading will be lower if you have more than one of the relevant upgrade materials.

In Chapter 2: Season 5 the way you upgrade your weapon and sets has changed. Previously, you could seek out an Upgrade Bench and pay a set amount of Bars to upgrade your weapon or equipment to an increased level of rarity. You could do this until the weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level and at that point, the upgrades would reset.

You can still do this, but the process is based on RNG and low on agency. It is better to purchase gear that has low levels of upgrade, but high base scores and stat distributions. These items have a greater chance of giving you the most prestigious tier of blessings and perks.

To improve their skills quicker, players usually prioritise upgrading their weapons. Players should also upgrade the weapons their teammates use to make them stronger. Shepard for instance should upgrade his M92F in order to unlock the Beretta M93R. This will make the weapon more useful when accompanied with biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels are used in the sockets of armor and weapons, increasing the power of a character and bringing about secondary effects. They can be created using the process of jewelry crafting, which is where you combine a gem with several reagents at a jewelry table. The higher the quality of the gem, the greater the secondary effect. These reagents can be gotten from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses around the world, or by salvaging Legendary Gear. You can also buy them from The Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Prism.

The Jeweler can boost the quality of the gem in stages that range from Crude up to Royal. Depending on the tier of the jewel, it will provide a different stat boost when slotted into weapons, equipment and jewelry.

All levels of jewels are crafted at the Jeweler, with the exception of the rare and legendary jewels that require you to be at a sufficient level to qualify for the privilege of having them. In contrast to other upgrade components, jewels can be swapped with another identical jewel without destroying the original one. However you can only swap out one jewel in a piece of equipment only once.

It is typical to use more jewelry for aesthetic reasons. The jewels can also enhance performance and make an outer layer that is more durable than steel so that repeated friction caused by pivots does not cause damage to the movement.

In addition to the above upgrades players can also acquire glyphs for their weapons and shields from a Glyphmaster. These are a small perk and can be swapped freely but aren't guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs are upgradeable, as jewelry, by visiting the Jeweler for gold and Scattered Crystal. Glyphs can also be removed, which returns them to the inventory. Other upgrade components such as traits or aegis cannot be exchanged and can only be found by using an Upgrade extractor, or salvaging with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or Ascended Salvage tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets can give your character various small, but beneficial benefits. They are available in the start-up area as loot or as personal story rewards. They can also be obtained from vendors as well as through completing road interaction. They can also be crafted by jewelers, and then found or purchased from the Trading Post.

The first trinket players will be able to unlock is the cloak. It gives a small but valuable boost in speed of movement and the ability to escape. The player can then collect rings, amulets and necklaces, in a similar way as they did with weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment comes with one upgrade slot that can accept either a universal or a jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades are smaller and can be used on any equipment. Jewels cannot be upgraded or replaced and are only compatible with certain trinkets.

These trinkets provide additional buffs and abilities that are active when the hero isn't in combat. This enables the hero to perform better when they are not active and also helps fill in the void of a strong team or the absence of any slots in the talent tree that normally are filled with the hero's best statistics.

As a rule trinket upgrades should be prioritized over BiS (Best in Slot) items that you will not replace soon. Next, any items with desirable stats that aren't as significant as the iLevel of the item that is to be upgraded. This is especially true when you want to upgrade multiple statistics on an item upgrader. It's more beneficial to upgrade a single important stat rather than two suboptimal ones.

Jungle players usually upgrade item their yellow trinket to a red one at the start of the game. Mid and top players, on the other hand will pick a pink or green ward, based on the game's matchup. These choices will have a major impact on the hero's abilities to control maps.

In addition to the things mentioned above, players can also find other trinkets throughout the game in the form of awards and trophies. They can be earned by completing certain milestones in the story, such as the main quest of a chapter or destroying a boss. They can be viewed by selecting the appropriate achievement in the reward tab of the hero menu.
