World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase 3% of its previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets in order to provide a stat bonus or extra effect when they're used. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to blue level before a component can be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging ascended gear or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may be prefixed or a suffix, modifying the name of the equipment with which it is used (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions of the item using less upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level using normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of the weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher tier version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their equipment even if they are unsure how much it can be improved upon a reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a substantial possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break if it fails; a failure to upgrade can destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as you can to level 15.

It is commonplace to see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the many Glyphs, and there are some rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs then you have to attach them to your gear. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that boosts a particular set of stat nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes connected to them, which is why it is Best item upgrader to put Glyphs in key locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For instance, a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, however, you may also want to be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items lets players increase the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each item level requires a different number of components to reach, and the upgrade costs increase as the item is upgraded.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item. Once enough are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an item is upgraded by a player, the base item is replaced by a new item of the same kind. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own bonus. This can be a downside since the item may become more expensive even if you do not need it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled if the player has enough tokens to be able to do so. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with a level 1 base and a totally different set of bonus bonuses. This is useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can waste many resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled multiple times to increase their value, giving players the ability to alter their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item can be very valuable in PvP, as the best version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader - Full File - NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapon equipment will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear which can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to go back to its original state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item upgrader mod fails to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it earned, such as chances to be crit attack damage, additional effects (such as increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded receives a crit chance boost that it will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to the value of the base item. For example an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements from standard gear. For example they might require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Whatever the case, players must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade requires the use of different upgrade ingredients.
