Item Stats

The item's stats can make or break an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to play with multiple weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the most effective." This is particularly useful in early game runs because players tend to put defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing the discovery of items, Luck also increases the probability of success when upgrading items with the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading, which increases with each level and can be further increased by using an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, armor, and shields can spawn or be crafted by using the Luck property, with a default value of 40. These items can be augmented by using golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the type of material) to increase the value of 40 luck or to boost the Luck of an Best item upgrader up to 140.

Certain items, such as the Hollow-infused weapon, can also be equipped to increase the damage of any skill that deals damage by 5%. These items can be bought in the shop, or they can be made using the correct ingredients.

Item Failure

Item upgrades are a costly process and not every upgrade will be successful. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to increase their chances of success or even prevent them from losing an item if the upgrade is unsuccessful.
