Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The most effective way to upgrade your equipment in Path of Exile is through item upgrades. This lets you upgrade your gear without having depend on costly drops or trades. This article will show you how to upgrade your gear effectively.

Upgrading equipment grants a bonus to the item's base stats. This bonus scales with the upgrade component level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components make your armour and weapons stronger. You can locate them through destroying enemies, buying them from karma sellers or finding them in the form of item-spheres.
