World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as crit chance and PvE damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will gain 3percent of its previous damage every time it's upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor in order to give them a boost in stats or an extra effect. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment with a slot for them. The item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be used. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging ascended gear or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could have a prefix or suffix, modifying the name of the equipment to which it is used (for examplefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than are required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of an item will be dropped during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know how much it can be improved upon an update.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive, and it is possible that the item will be obsolete, or even break, when the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the possibility of failure, as well as some upgrades that provide a bonus when reinserted into an item level upgrade.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the effectiveness of all nodes in their radius as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.

In the endgame, you will often find that the best way to improve your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and they provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes more quickly.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that it can improve a stat by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your gear. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

The use of the Glyph can boost all nodes connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level requires a different number of components to reach and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is advanced in level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. The same armor can be transformed into a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This could be a drawback, as the item can increase in price even if you don't require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item upgrader that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This can be useful, but should not be repeated often since it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times, increasing their value and allows the player to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides a buff if the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. The item upgrader kit can be upgraded several times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item upgrader mod can be extremely valuable in PvP as the best version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The upgrader for items lets players increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, weapons, and trinkets) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state, requiring the player to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item will be deducted any bonuses it gained, including crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for example, increased heal over time or reload speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase that it will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its value. For example, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will need to take each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of the ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs that are listed above.
