Item Upgrading Isn t As Difficult As You Think
World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.
If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will be able to gain an additional 3% of the previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level increases.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item upgrader, which lets players to create stronger versions using less Upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level with normal methods.
A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of an armored weapon or. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.
Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of an item will be dropped at the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear, even when they're not sure how much it can be improved upon a reset.
If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a significant risk that the item may become obsolete or even break if it fails. A failed upgrade will destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 whenever you can.
In the final game you'll find that the best way to enhance your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and they provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes faster.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the numerous Glyphs, and there are some rare glyphs to be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
When you have the desired Glyphs You will need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Glyphs will boost all nodes that are connected to them, therefore it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For instance, a Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage points, however, you may also want to be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes too.
Leveling
The item upgrade (http://istartw.lineageinc.com/home.php?mod=space&uid=3220195) system allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires a different number of components, and the upgrade costs increase as the item gets advanced in level.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.
When a player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This can be a downside since the item may be more expensive even if you do not require it.
Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to do this. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, with a level 1 base and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This is a good option for some items, but it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can waste a lot of resources.
Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item is very important in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth as much as 50x the value of the non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The upgrade of items allows players to boost the level of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.
All items are upgradeable up to five times, except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to go to its initial state, requiring the player to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.
If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item will be deducted any gained bonuses such as crit chance, attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.
Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that should a weapon gain an increase in the chance of crit the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its value. For example an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades for a price of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. However, players will have to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
